In the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme and the Accredited Project for staff mobility on the sector of Adult Education at the National Library of Greece, the librarian and coordinator of the General Collection Ifigenia Georgakopoulou and the employees of the General Collection Vasiliki Iliopoulou and Evgenia Kaisari visited the National Library of the Czech Republic and other libraries of the country (Municipal Library of Prague, National Library of Technology) between the 17th and the 21st of June 2024.
During the visit, the participants were introduced to the operation of the National Library of the Czech Republic and in particular the management of collections, both physical and digital, as well as the provision of user guidance and support services. In addition, a presentation of the work of the National Library of Greece and the General Collection was given to the employees of the National Library of the Czech Republic.
This mobility enabled the staff members of both countries to connect with each other and to exchange expertise on the optimal provision of services to the public.
