Katerina Desylla, a member of the Manuscript and Facsimiles Department, visited from the 13th to the 17th of May 2024 the Koç University Library in Istanbul as part of the accredited Erasmus+ staff mobility programme. During her visit she was introduced to the structure and services of the Library and attended a meeting on the digital transformation of libraries with presentations by colleagues in the following areas: Digital Future, Digital Tools and Services, Digital Resources and Collections.
In addition, she was given a tour to the Sadberk Hanim Historical-Archaeological Museum, the Ottoman Archives, the Library of the Research Centre for Oriental Studies (ANAMED Library), the restoration rooms of the Manuscripts Library in the Rami Library Complex incl. Shifahane and the Beyazit Public Library, which is the depository of the country’s modern publications.
