4th mobility: Erasmus+ to the National and University Library of Iceland

In the framework of the Erasmus+ programme and the Accredited Project for Staff Mobility on the sector of Adult Education of the National Library of Greece, the librarians Katerina Lygnou, Theodora Makri, Angeliki Bamnioti and Afroditi Fragkou visited the National and University Library of Iceland from the 15th to the 19th of April 2024.

During their visit, they job-shadowed the working methods and the services provided by the National and University Library of Iceland and were informed, among other things, about its structure, its websites and databases, its information and user training services as well as its open access policies and services. They learned about the methods of digitisation of the library’s special and archival collections with the aim to enhance public accessibility for research and educational purposes and exchanged best practices on adult education with colleagues from other countries.
